Ndidi Tips Leicester To Win Carabao Cup

By Daily Sports Nigeria on November 12, 2022

Wilfred Ndidi has evaluated the chances of Leicester City winning more silverware this season in the form of the Carabao Cup.
The Nigeria national teamer was a key player as Leicester City, against all the odds, won the Emirates FA Cup in May 2021, playing all their six matches in the competition, and helped the Foxes win the Community Shield three months later.
Leicester City are into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after defeating Newport County 3-0, with James Justin and Jamie Vardy (2) getting on the scoresheet at the King Power Stadium.
Having recovered from a hamstring injury, Ndidi made his first start for Leicester City in thirty six days against the League Two opponents and lasted 74 minutes on the pitch before he was replaced by Sammy Braybrooke.
Speaking to LCFC TV, after the win against Newport County, Ndidi said : “Nothing is impossible. We’ve been there before in the FA Cup. It’s very possible because we have that quality in the team.
“If we can stay focused and look forward to the next one, I think it’s really possible.
“We’re moving onto the next game now. This is what we needed, a clean sheet and more goals, just for the confidence for the next one.
“It keeps the team really high with confidence. We’ll see what comes out of that one.”
Leicester City will face MK Dons in round four of the Carabao Cup and the tie will take place at Stadium MK during the week commencing 19 December.
