2023 AFCONQ: Five Foreign-Based Players Hit Sierra Leone Conakry Camp

The Leone Stars of Sierra Leone have intensified preparations ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Nigeria and Guinea-Bissau, reports Completesports.com.

Five foreign-based professionals have arrived the team’s training camp in Conakry, Guinea ahead of the qualifiers.

The players are; Mohamed Buya Turay, Augustus Kargbo, Amadou Bakayoko,
Kwame Queen and John Kamara.

12 players are already in the Sierra Leone’s camp with 13 more expected before weekend.

Ibrahim Sessay, Donald Kamara, Saidu Mansaray, Musa Noah Camara, Lamin Conteh and Saidu Bah Kamara were all part of the team’s first training session on Wednesday.

Captain Steve Caulker, Anderlecht winger Mustapha Bundu, Ibrahim Sillah will join the team on Thursday.

Sierra Leone will start their campaign in the qualifiers against Nigeria at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja next week Thursday.

The Leone Stars will host Guinea- Bissau in a matchday two clash at the General Lasana Conte Stadium, Conakry four days later.
