Shut Up Dairu Saidi, Salisu Yusuf Took Bribe Therefore Not Qualified/Fit For Any Coaching Job

By Daily Sports Nigeria on May 2, 2022

In Nigeria anything goes. The other day it was Nigeria Football Federation’s Seyi Adewunmi said the CHAN coach, Salisu Yusuf has served out his suspension therefore qualified to hold any appointment on coaching now.

When read Akinwunmi’s watery talk, I laughed and said to no one else that these people are same doing things as if they emperors. This a man I meant Salisu Yusuf who was caught in bribery in short he too money from players and invited them to the Super Eagles camp and even featured them in games.

Yusuf did not deny he took bribe. He was suspended after NFF swept it under but a said decisive action from CAF and FIFA which was leaked to the NFF forced it to act fast before the hammer fail.

I won’t go deeper again into the wrong decision of giving CHAN team to Yusuf who openly admitted that he took tribe from player (s) because I have dwelled too deep into it shortly after his confirmation as CHAN Eagles Coach but NFF being what it is acted like, lame duck, deaf and dumb it is.

The issue this week is last week’s outburst by Dairu Sadi who I understood is a member of the NFF technical and development committee who chose to speak o out for him in Salisu Yusuf and his being suitable to handle the CHAN Eagles team after coming back from bribery suspension.

Sadi an ex-international whom I have good measure of respect for gave himself out as someone not knowing what he was saying.  As member of the technical committee ought to be cautious how he do while dealing on sensitive national issue(s) so that he won’t be seen as a sentimental man.

According to Dairu Sadi, the committee conducted interview and Yusuf floored all other candidates therefore he was recommended for reappointment for the job. Heart went sympathy as someone that learns nothing and forgets nothing.

He did not mention the coaches that competed with Yusuf who he performed well and above them. He did not say why a national team coach who was found taking bribe from players should be allowed to file his papers for the same job he was caught going against its rules though he has served out suspension melted out as his punishment.

My question as I have often asked on this Yusuf matter is though he has the liberty to reapply to grab his former job again, but if NFF has any more atom of integrity left it won’t offer Salisu Yusuf that job alias birds of the same feathers he got the job and some people like Seyi Akinwunmi and Dairu Saidi is defending the wrong thing.

This columnist insists Salisu Yusuf is supposed to be picked and questioned by EFCC is tell his dirty story of taking bribe from players and their agents. Instead NFF equally peopled with fraudulent instincts too employed him back hence these people mentioned in this write up are having field day justifying the wrong step and action by his masters in NFF.  Yusuf ought to stay off any national team job as he has heavily dented himself indelibly.

Yusuf has no character as he stands now. Many Commentators closely following NFF activities are yet to recover from the unbelievable. The usual sad aspect is that Federal Government through Sports Minister, Sunday Dare is keeping quiet over this matter and he is in charge of U-23 Eagles and CHAN to continue what he knows best to do collecting bribe from players and their agents.  This NFF executive committee has so many K- Legs that has put question marks on its actions and inactions yet Sports Ministry has failed to report the body to Buhari who has for 7 years plus prosecutes corrupt persons on paper

This columnist is unequivocally calling on Dairu Saidi to shut up. He is trying to keep his membership of NFF technical and Development job by support the wrong in our football polity.  This kind of Yusuf issue is one of the majors killing the game gradually in the country today. Those that are supposed to call NFF and its agents to order are looking the other way.

It is a dangerous situation. It is like time bomb. This must be squarely addressed otherwise it will consumer the entire game. Dairu Saidi must shot up and keep the job Amaju Pinnick and gang offered him. Enough of this nonsense from him and his likes. He is a shame of the worst order.

Let’s keep shooting hard till next week as the struggle continues!!
