Entry for participation in The Classic Games 2018 opened officially on October 1, 2018 – Nigeria’s Independence Day – and will be on for two months.
The Classic Games 2018 is not a tournament of physical strength; it is one of intellectual might, mental skill and analytical precision played with the mind and brain.
It is the perfect event for intellectual entertainment, fun and engagement through Chess, Darts, Draught and Scrabble.
This $ 15,000 all-winners prize money-pot holds from December 18 – 19 & 22 – 23, 2018, at the Molade Okoya Thomas Indoor Sports Hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere.
Participation is open to rate and unrated players; skilled and unskilled players; experienced and inexperienced players – beginners and amateurs alike.
There are no age limits to interested participants – except for Darts where under eight-year olds are not eligible neither are there gender classifications.
The Classic Games is an equal gender, equal opportunity and equal advantage tournament where individual brilliance and skill help players win.
Chess and Scrabble players can enter in one of the three different categories according to their national and international score ratings: the Masters, the Intermediate and the Opens.
