Ronaldo’s Return To Man United Was A Huge Mistake –Ikpeba

Former Super Eagles forward, Victor Ikpeba believes Man United star, Cristiano Ronaldo made a mistake to have return to Old Trafford.

His return to Man United came as a surprise as it seemed the five-time Ballon d’Or winner was on his way to Man City, only for the Premier League champions to cool their interest, paving the way for the Red Devils to win the race for his services.

Speaking on SuperSport’s Monday Night Football, Ikpeba said: “I think he [Ronaldo] should be leaving the club. Ronaldo coming back to Manchester United was a mistake.

“It’s not a question of him scoring goals, so many things happen when a star player returns to his original club.

“In many ways, Ronaldo has been a distraction. He’s a global star in football, he shouldn’t have come back at that age, he should have gone to Manchester City.

“Egocentric players, jealousy comes to play in the dressing room. The atmosphere has been nasty right from the beginning.”
