As the politics of employment of new foreign technical hand for the Super Eagles continues to unfold, another quality hand this time a former international of Italian national team the Azzuris, goal keeper Walter Zenga has joined the race to coach the Super Eagles side.

The coach who held sway between the Azzuris goalposts developed great interest to land the Super Eagles top job insists that he is qualified to take the giant West African team to higher ground and bring the team back into reckoning.

“I have the pedigree to turn the Super Eagles around. Nigeria has great players waiting to be properly harnessed for greater heights. The Nigerian team is under performing. If l lands the job the Super Eagles will fly higher than ever before. The players in the team would be placed on proper perspective and give the team identity,” he was quoted to have said.

Zenga has in the past said to have led other top clubs’ sides in Italy including Serie A team, Cagliari. According to reports his Manager, Alberto ‘Jimmy’ Fontana said he has since submitted Zenga’s papers to the NFF headquarters in Abuja for information and action.

Zenga 62 is keen on the job according to his intermediary Fontana who confirmed the move for the job.

It would be recalled that Zenga is the fifth technical adviser seeking to fill in the vacant position of the Super Eagles job, the report added.
