Nigeria's Olympic team landed in Korea on Tuesday afternoon as they get set for their opening game of the Suwon invitational tournament on Thursday.

The delegation made up of 19 players and 10 officials will be hoping to make the country proud in Seoul.

“We are now in Korea and we trying to get out of the airport,” assistant coach Fatai Amoo said.

Coach Samson Siasia is expected to step up his side's preparation for the Olympics men's football event in Rio.

The 48-year-old will also use the tournament to assess his boys ahead of the games where they are zoned in Group B against Japan, Colombia and Sweden.

Nigeria U23 will begin their campaign against the hosts, South Korea on Thursday, June 2 at the Suwon World Cup Stadium and later confront Denmark, Honduras.
