Lampard take Chelsea coach to Everton as he ends his 27-year stay with Chelsea

Frank Lampard has been confirmed as Everton manager, and the 43-year-old Chelsea legend has made his first step by taking with him a Chelsea coach to join him at Everton.

Chelsea first team coach Joe Edwards has joined Lampard as an as assistant manager at Everton, thus ending an incredible 27 years involved with Chelsea.

Joe Edwards worked with Lampard during Lampard’s spell in charge of the Blues.

The 35-year-old first joined Chelsea as a schoolboy player and has worked his way through the coaching ranks after his playing career did not work out.

Paul Clement has also joined Lampard as first team coach, and Chris Jones as first team coach and head of performance.

Chelsea have stated that Edwards’ position at the club will not be replaced at this time.
