College of Commerce Warri FOOTBALl team have qualified for the final of the 2021 Zenith Bank/Delta Principals’ Cup organised by Delta State Government for public schools in the state.
They defeated Ovwor Mixed Secondary School of Ughelli South on Tuesday at the Sapele Centre in a crucial game after a tension-soaked penalty shootout.
College of Commerce are the defending champions from Warri South. Coach of the team, Uncle Emmanuel Efeyan, and the Game Master of the College, Comrade Godwin Ohwofasa, are confident of victory over Osadennis Mixed School, Asaba, in the final to be played on Friday, November 26, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, Asaba, the Delta State capital.
Principal of College of Commerce Warri, Mr. Felix Useh, has charged his boys to be courageous and prayerful and to do everything possible to come home with the cup once again as a mark of honour for the 75th anniversary celebration of the Founders Day of the College.
National President of College of Commerce Old Students Association (COCOSA), Barr. Ederi Patrick, National Secretary Kolawole Enijuni and Chairman COCOSA 75th Planning Anniversary Committee, Chief Reginald Amadi, all encouraged the team to go out and defend their title, win and come home with the trophy.
