Chelsea Urged To Sign Osimhen

By Daily Sports Nigeria on December 24, 2022

Blues legend Craig Burley is convinced that Nigeria international Victor Osimhen will form a fearsome attacking partnership with RB Leipzig’s Christopher Nkunku at Chelsea.

Osimhen is valued at £87million and clubs across Europe wishing to sign the Napoli star will find it difficult to convince the Serie A side to do business in the January transfer window.

However Burley who is an ESPN pundit has suggested that Chelsea acquire the services of the Nigerian and pair him with Nkunku who has agreed personal terms with the Blues according to transfer-based, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, and will move to Stamford Bridge next summer.

”I think him (Nkunku) and Osimhen would scare the living daylights out of people. Can you imagine,” Burley told ESPN FC.

”I don’t know if he would leave Napoli, but you’re not getting him until the summer at the earliest,” Osimhen noted.

Chelsea have Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Kai Havertz to call upon with the duo of Nkunku and Osimhen not expected to leave their current clubs in the January transfer window for Chelsea.

Despite widespread reports in the media, there has not been an official statement on the transfer of Nkunku to Chelsea.
