REVEALED: Why Lampard Resisted Newcastle Approach

By Daily Sports on October 24, 2021

Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has resisted interest from Newcastle.

Paulo Fonseca is now in line to be named manager of Newcastle in the coming days.

The Mirror says shareholder Jamie Reuben, however, preferred former Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.

The 43-year-old is available, having been out of work since being axed at Stamford Bridge in January.

But he has pulled out of the running amid concerns over the club's perilous position in a relegation battle. (Tribal Football)
