Ex-Super Falcons Stars Set To Storm Onitsha For Football Fiesta To Celebrate Mmadu

Ex-Super Falcons stars will in few days storm the commercial city of Onitsha, Anambra State, in a one week football fiesta in celebration of one of their own, queen of the round leather game, Coach Maureen Mmadu.

The ex-female football champions during the event will play three matches with three Onitsha-based football clubs, namely, All Stars FC Onitsha, All Stars FC, Fegge and All Stars 33 FC.

According to a press release by Mmadu’s spokesman, Chigozie Chukwuleta, the three matches involving All Stars Onitsha, All Stars Fegge and All Stars 33 will be played on Sunday, October 24, 27 and 29 respectively.

The statement said that Chuba Ikpeazu Stadium will host the matches slated for 24th and 29th, while the match fixed for October 27th would be played at Fegge Stadium, also in Onitsha.

“The soccer bazzar is organized by Maureen Mmadu kiddies Football Camp to increase sensitization and support for female football.

“The Maureen Madu Kiddies are preparing for a trip to Denmark where they have been invited to participate in DANA Cup Competition in the first quarter of 2022.

“Maureen Madu was born in Onitsha where she started her career with Ado Babes.

“She intends to give back to society by discovering, mentoring and guiding young talented girls to super stardom,” Chukwuleta added.
