Liverpool To Battle Arsenal For Bissouma

By Daily sports on July 6, 2021

Liverpool will reportedly challenge Arsenal for Yves Bissouma’s signature.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Bissouma has been added to Jurgen Klopp’s wishlist alongside Ryan Gravenberch of Ajax Amsterdam. Renato Sanches is also said to have attracted interest from both teams.

Bissouma, 24, started 35 matches for Brighton & Hove Albion in the Premier League last season as they successfully avoided relegation.

Born in Ivory Coast, but raised in Mali, Bissouma started his career at the Majestic SC academy in 2009, and in 2014, he joined the Malian club AS Real Bamako.

French side Lille signed Bissouma from Bamako in July 2016 and he became one of the Ligue 1 side’s key players during his two-year spell with the club.

He joined Brighton from Lille in July 2018 and he has played 19 international matches for Mali and netted three goals in the process. (African Football)
