Villarreal manager Unai Emery has called on Samuel Chukwueze to be more consistent in his performances.
The Nigeria international ended his LaLiga goal drought with a brace in a 5-1 thumping of Levante on Sunday.
Chukwueze, 21, hadn’t scored in the league since November last year but showcased his quality with a well-taken double to lead the Yellow Submarines back up to fifth on the LaLiga standings.
“He’s a very young player who has to find consistency,” Emery told the club’s website when asked about the Super Eagles winger. “We need to take steps forward with him and be demanding.
“He’s a footballer with great quality. He has a lot of talent, but he needs to improve in front of goal. Today he put in a great performance and managed to score.”
