Obaseki’s Money Printing Claims, CBN Patch; NSF Hosting Accolades And The Conspiracy Against Enyimba FC

By Daily sports on April 19, 2021

The Nigeria l was born into has long faded away into the tin air and sadly in every sense of the word replaced with deceitful people parading themselves as leaders.

I had wanted to start this week’s write on a straight note without reminding us the dirty polity that is the entire landscape of Nigeria cheats; injustice of every sort holds sway and other obviously avoidable vices herein. But as keen watcher of events that bestride her roundly hence the brief comment that ensued between Finance Minister, Zainab Ahmed and very unassuming Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki last week. However before the full blown deceitful denial of money printing to top up March allocations to the States and Local Governments, Governor Obaseki had blown the lid of the abnormal kind of financial or budgeting.

His candid view trended until last week after their weekly ritual FAAC meeting when Zainab Ahmed took the centre stage and ridiculed herself and the shameless Muhammadu Buhari and APC government that no money was printed.

Before we continue, let me place these on record that Governor Godwin Obaseki is an unassuming person strictly by nature. He does not talk or speak with both sides of his mouth at the same time or talks on drop of hat.

He chooses his words always and coming from solid financial background also lend credence to the money printing saga that brought to bear the lies of Buhari/APC deceitful government since 2015. Governor Obaseki does not blow hot air either.

However, I watched Ahmed that day of the FAAC meeting where she brought herself so low than a 100 Level student of Financial Accounting.

Let me also confess that I read her lips deep and knew she was as usual dishing out lies which have been the lot of this administration since 2015. How she began her fable denial quickly gave her out and I did announce to everyone around me that Tuesday night that this women finally shot herself on the foot.

Her submission was weak and the countenance on her face betrayed her to high heavens though this government and her official have all lost the decency of normalcy and image in outside world where they are called liars to their faces. She did not do any good damage control measure(s) that night because the Governor caught them red handed and there was nothing, absolutely nothing to deny.

Governor Obaseki is one of the few State chief executives that Nigerians still held up there.

However shortly after the show of shame and the naked dancing in the crowded market square by Zainab Ahmed the Governor of the Central Bank, Godwin Emefiele was drafted by their masters to come to the rescue. He directly put a lie on Zainab Ahmed weak claim as he patch-patched and sand papered the avoidable denial of Ahmed.

In short, the CBN Governor confirmed what very suave Edo State Governor alerted unsuspecting Nigerians. Truth is that other words he used during the confirmation of the story or clarification of it was just a matter of semantics’ The bottom-line remains that money was printed for such purpose and however and whatever the CBN Governor coloured it or them was to cushion his mission and already lies or fable denial by Zainab Ahmed who is neck deep in the deceitful tendencies of the gruesome Buhari/APC administration of the more you look, the less you see.

My last line is that Governor Godwin Obaseki has been vindicated and proved beyond any reason point.

Money was printed for that same purpose as confirmed by the CBN Governor any other sentence(s) after that was just to paint the whole hatcher man’s job he was sent to come and do or clarify. What else is world embarrassment a government could get, a clear stamp of vote of no confidence and in sound and sane climes, Alhaja  Zainab Ahmed would gently and quietly thrown in the towel and walk away.

Enough of this Buhari/APC administration’s abnormalities however this columnist brought this up to the numerous readers of this page every Monday in order to give any Nigerian that missed the story to update his or herself with absurdities happening often in Nigeria and again there is no how sports activities would divorce itself from the rest of happenings in the larger polity it operettas from as the said money that was injected into the already weak and battered economy bereft of sound economic managers not for the lack of such individuals but because of the log and cobwebs Buhari brought into the polity that enshrined federal character in her constitution which he insisted that people from one region must be in charge of everything and everywhere whether such individual(s) are competent or not. You can see clearly what that myopic thinking and looking at things have placed Nigeria today . . . the worst for it in all facets.

Last week the curtain for the 20th edition of the much talked and postponed National Sports Festival was drawn and Delta State topped the medals table and also got the nod to host the 21st edition in 2022. It was spectacle as athletes from across the country competed safely and freely to the best of their ability gamely.

It would go into the history of the Festival that Edo 2020 held in 2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic that still catching the world nabbing despite the vaccines currently being administered. Take it or leave it truth remains that Governor Godwin Obaseki’s administration mounted a huge successful bad incident free championship and ought to get a loud standing ovation.

The administration set the tone resoundingly. This columnist would not but salute the Edo People and her Governor Obaseki for a great job well done. The facilities in the venues tell the story and the kind of sterling job and money channeled into upgrading and equipping the sporting arenas in and around the state and it would remain highly commendable and reference point.

The baton has been handed over to Delta State a sister and there is no atom of doubt in our minds that it will post beautiful and peaceful sports festival showpiece. Athletes showed depth and brought to bear the stuffs they made of. Congratulations athletes, officials and Edo State Government for job well done. 2022 Delta here we come!

Also last week Enyimba International FC Nigeria’s sole representatives in CAF competition this term got a raw deal from immigration officers at the Muritala Mohammed International Airport in Lagos on their way to honour the second leg CAF Confederation Cup against ES Setif of Algeria. The Nigerian representatives where thoroughly humiliated at the airport by official where all their travelling documents were not admitted with the insistence that the Abia State based squad must obtain fresh ones and after every entreaties fell on deaf ears and the team coughed out over 2 million to the terrible immigration officials at the MMIA.

After all said and done couple with delays the team tiredly flew. The rest is now story but before we laid down this best international accepted practice is that at this stage of the championship, the team ought to be the sole property of the NFF but the reverse has been the case. It is no longer news that as a result of the MMIA humiliation and tiredness via long flight, Enyimba lost badly to their host. One only prays and urges the team to work round the clock very hard too to pick full points in their two remaining matches in Aba and wherever the Libyan team would host them. It is doable bearing in mind of the Aba side’s pedigree. We are keenly hope to continue to do this watch dog job the society and constitution placed squarely on our shoulders. Our social media handles are active round the clock. Let’s keep shooting hard till next week as the struggle continues!!
