Pep Guardiola says Sergio Aguero will not make his return from injury in Wednesday's FA Cup fifth-round clash with Swansea City.

The Argentine was seen training with the first-team yesterday after successful recovering from

“Yesterday, he trained 10, 15 minutes with the group and after he trained apart alone,” Pep Guardiola said at his pre-match press conference. “Day-by-day he’s feeling better.”

Asked if he was ready to return, the Catalan added: “Not yet.”

And when quizzed about playing without strikers, Guardiola said: "When we don't play with a typical centre-forward people can move a bit more but we have to arrive in the box.

“We saw in the game against Liverpool, four or five players were inside the box. Every game is different.

“We are looking forward, even Gabriel [Jesus], he's dropping, improving in his position not playing like a player you can link and the striker just being there.

“I’m not a big fan of this, I prefer to move behind this position and we have some players who can do it.” (Tribal Football)
