Heartland FC head coach, Alphonsus Dike is exuding confidence that the Naze Millionaires would be able to hold their own when they face Enyimba in Umuahia in a rescheduled NPFL Week 6 tie in their Oriental Derby clash on Wednesday.
The Owerri side scraped to a 1-0 home win over Sunshine Stars last weekend in a Week 13 tie at the Dan Anyiam Stadium through the strike of returnee forward Ifeanyi Onuigbo and they must be at their best if they are to get anything out of the re-arranged tie against in-form Enyimba that defeated Akwa United 1-0 in Uyo last weekend.
“This will no doubt be a tough game but we know how to handle [Enyimba]. We have prepared very well for them and we are certain that we are going to get something out of the match. The match against Sunshine Stars was no child’s play but we were able to do get the maximum points. We won’t be deterred at all as we go in search of another important result in Umuahia," Dike told Goal.
“We have our fans behind us and we have the support of the state government which has released buses to take some of our fans and supporters to Umuahia for the match. God will crown our effort.”
Heartland are 11th on the log with 17 points from 12 matches while Enyimba are neck deep in relegation as they are placed 19th on the log with 12 points from eight matches. The Aba side have five matches in hand. (goal.com)
