Napoli striker Dries Mertens has resisted an offer from Chelsea in recent days.
The Daily Mail says the Belgium international was the subject of an approach from Chelsea.
Chelsea management had aimed to add the experience of Mertens to manager Frank Lampard’s youthful attack.
However, Mertens has turned down the proposal.
This season, the Belgian has 4 goals and 6 assists in 11 Serie A games. (Tribal Football)
