Arsenal, Atletico Can’t Agree On Thomas Partey Fee

By Daily sports on August 26, 2020

Arsenal and Atletico Madrid reportedly can’t agree on a fee for Ghana’s Thomas Partey.

According to Sky Sports as reported by the Daily Star, the Gunners are unwilling to meet the Spanish club’s demands.

Atletico have communicated that they will only part with the 27-year-old if his £45million release clause is met. On top of that, the North London club would have to fork out £200,000-a-week in wages for the burly midfielder.

Partey has established himself as an important part of Diego Simeone’s team over the last year and made 46 appearances across all competitions for the LaLiga club in the 2019/20 season.

He joined the Madrid giants’ youth academy eight years ago and is still contracted to the club until 2023.

Partey has scored nine goals in 26 appearances for the Black Stars. (African Football)
