Jeremie Boga Is Not For Sale – Sassuolo

By Daily Sports on July 10, 2020

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has emphatically stated that the Serie A club have no intention of selling Ivorian winger Jeremie Boga in the upcoming transfer market.

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a sensational campaign for the Neroverdi, racking up 11 goals and four assists from 29 appearances in the Italian top flight.

His speed and dribbling ability have been particularly eye-catching, while his end product has improved drastically compared to previous seasons.

This has led to transfer speculation around the Elephants international with Chelsea – the club where Boga was on the books as a youth player until 2018 – seen as the frontrunners for his signature.

The likes of AC Milan and Manchester United have also been mentioned as possible suitors, but Carnevali says Boga is going nowhere.

“We want to keep the big players, it’s our desire for the next season,” the Sassuolo boss is quoted by Sempre Milan.

“How much is Boga worth? A problem that I don’t ask myself, because we don’t want to sell. I declare him officially non-transferable.”

Boga looks set to join the likes of Mohamed Salah and Kevin De Bruyne as players who struggled to establish themselves at Chelsea before developing into world-class talent at other clubs. (African Football)
