Inter Ready To Offer Icardi In Pursuit Of Arsenal’s Aubameyang

By Daily Sports on May 9, 2020

Inter Milan are reportedly ready to offer Mauro Icardi in their attempts of landing Arsenal captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

According to Calciomercato, the Serie A giants have entered the transfer race for the Gabon international who will enter the final year of his Gunners contract next season.

Icardi, who spent the 2019-20 French Ligue 1 season on loan at Paris Saint-Germain, is set to leave Inter permanently in coming months after falling out with the club’s hierarchy.

The Argentine forward has scored a credible 124 goals in 219 appearances for Inter, but having burnt one too many bridges he was stripped of the club captaincy and ultimately shipped out to PSG where he netted 20 times in 31 matches this season.

While Arsenal are eager to keep hold of Aubameyang, the 30-year-old has yet to commit his long-term future to the club and the North London side could thus be forced to sell their star forward or risk losing him on a free at the end of next season.

Aubameyang has scored 20 goals in 32 matches across all competitions this season and has been prolific throughout his Arsenal career since joining the club from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018. In total, Aubameyang has scored 61 goals in 97 games for the club.

The 30-year-old has attracted interest from several clubs across Europe, including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Manchester City, Manchester United and PSG. (Calciomercato)
