Ighalo Happy To Take 50 Percent Pay-Cut To Make United Switch

By Daily Sports on March 18, 2020

Odion Ighalo is reportedly ready to take an incredible £6 million pay-cut to make his move to Manchester United permanent.

The former Nigeria international joined the Red Devils on-loan from Shanghai Shenhua in January as cover for United’s frontline, and despite the club attracting criticism for the move early on, Ighalo has already won over most of the naysayers.

According to The Sun, Ighalo will happily take a 50 percent pay-cut to join United on a permanent basis with the Premier League side unlikely to come anywhere close in matching the reported £240,000 a week he earns with the Chinese Super League outfit.

Ighalo has made an immediate impact at United and has scored four goals in three starts, including a brace in the club’s 2-0 FA Cup win over Derby County.

The 30-year-old also found the back of the net in 5-0 wins over Club Brugge and LASK in the Europa League, and is yet to taste defeat in United colours. (African Football)
