Liverpool's youngest-ever starting line-up overcame League One Shrewsbury Town at Anfield to book an FA Cup fifth-round tie at Chelsea.
With the Reds' senior players enjoying the inaugural Premier League winter break, under-23s boss Neil Critchley led a side containing seven teenage outfield players.
They edged past the Shrews through Ro-Shaun Williams' own goal.
The Shrewsbury defender headed past his own keeper from Neco Williams' cross.
At 0-0, Shaun Whalley thought he had given the Shrews the lead but his header was disallowed after a video assistant referee check ruled there had been an offside in the build-up.
Shrewsbury had come from 2-0 down to force a fourth-round replay where kick-off was delayed by 15 minutes after fans of both clubs were caught up in delays following an accident on the M62.
There were jubilant scenes on the pitch at the end as Liverpool's teenagers were given a standing ovation while they celebrated a hard-fought win in front of the Kop.
This was a game the Reds did not want, manager Jurgen Klopp making it clear within minutes of the first meeting between the clubs ending on 26 January that he would not be asking his senior players to interrupt their winter break for the replay.
Instead the Reds fielded a team consisting wholly of players from the under-23 squad. (BBC)
