A Kano High Court, on Wednesday, froze the account of Kano Football Association, and also granted an interlocutory injunction that restrained its leadership from parading themselves as an official of the football body.
Justice Umar Malam Na’aba granted the order following a petition filed by a season broadcast journalist, Alhaji Salisu Rabiu, a contestant in the ill-fated last NFA election.
The respondents are Sharu Rabiu Ahlan, Ma’aruf Yakasai, Shehu Buhari, Kano FA, Kano Sports Commission, Aminu Muhammad Chana, Hassan Garo, Idris Rilwanu Malikawa.
The court ordered the respondents either by themselves or agents from parading themselves as an elected executive of the Kano Football Association.
The court also froze the Kano FA account number 0147055012 domiciled with FCMB Bank and the account number 5852010828 with ECOBANK pending the final determination of the suit. (Independent)
