NRA Congratulates FIFA Referee Fawole On Promotion As Army General

The Nigeria Referees Association (NRA) has congratulated one of its elite referees, erstwhile Colonel OA Fawole on his recent promotion as a Brigadier General in the Nigerian Army.

Gen. Fawole is a household name in the Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) and a Fifa Beach Soccer referee. He is of the Kaduna State Referees Council.

Fawole was the Acting Chief of Staff at Nigerian Army Training Centre, Kontagora, Niger State, before proceeding to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS), Kuru, Plateau State, as a current Participant of the Senior Executive Course 41, 2019.

“The NRA wishes him best of luck in his new rank,” the statement said.
