BREAKING: Liverpool Beat Man City To Tighten Grip On EPL Top Spot

Two quick goals early in the game and a third shortly on the restart was all that Liverpool needed to beat defending champions Manchester City on Sunday night at Anfield and further extend their lead at the top of the English Premier League.

Fabinho scores with stunning long-range drive while Mohammed Salah soon headed in a second from Robertson’s cross.

Sadio Mane further extended Liverpool’s lead the with a furious header from close range off skipper Henderson’s cross but City fought back in the last quarter of play, reducing the tally in the 78th minute through a binder by Bernardo Silva.

With the victory, Liverpool are now eight points ahead of their closes rival Leicester City and nine points ahead of fourth-placed City, while Chelsea occupy the their position.
