FC Ifeanyi Ubah to battle Accra Hearts of Oak, Asante Kotoko in Ghana

By Daily Sports on January 30, 2016

The recent recalibration of FC Ifeanyi Ubah ahead of the 2015/2016 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season may have set the radar of clubs in the sub-continent on the Nnewi-based side as the club is set to battle Ghana giants, Accra Heart of Oak and Asante Kotoko in a series of pre-season matches billed for Sunday and Wednesday respectively.

Sources close to FC Ifeanyi Ubah’s camp disclosed that the team would be storming Accra and Kumasi with hundreds of its supporters who are expected to gather at its camp site in Lagos today, from where the party will depart for Ghana.

The rejuvenated Premier League side, after its closed camping in Ibadan, had sent an early warning signal to other Premier League clubs, beating Premier League new entrants, Mountain of Fire and Miracle FC, in a friendly match on Sunday at the Agege Township Stadium in Lagos.

The match between FC Ifeanyi Ubah and Accra Hearts of Oak will kick off by 2pm inside the Accra Township Stadium. The match will see the Nigerian side field most of its new signings, including the six Brazilian imports, as it intensifies preparations and sets its eyes on capturing one of the continental tickets at the end of the new season.

The Anambra Warriors are also expected to unleash the Brazilian imports on Asante Kotoko in Kumasi on Wednesday, February 3.

Returnee Chief Coach, Mitko Dobrev is expected to use these high profiled pre-season matches to launch his full return to the NPFL. Dobrev has promised to win the 2015/2016 NPFL.
