Saudi Professional League club Al-Ahli SC have signed Godfrey Oboabona on a one-year deal.

The 26-year-old Nigeria defender joins the Jeddah club after leaving Caykur Rizespor following their relegation from the top division in Turkey last season.

"Official: Nigerian defender Godfrey Oboabona signed a 1-year contract with Al-Ahli," the Saudi Arabian club announced on Saturday via their Twitter handle.

Oboabona currently holidaying in Nigeria will leave to Jeddah to formally finalise the move in a matter of days.

The former Sunshine Stars man spent the last four years with Caykur Rizespor.
