Galatasaray of Turkey attacker, Henry Onyekuru has admitted that he has a burning desire to play at the Africa Cup of Nations, and says he just cannot wait for Cameroon 2019

After starring as a second half substitute for the Super Eagles in Saturday’s 1-1 draw away to South Africa, Onyekuru said he was happy to be part of the historic team that sealed an early ticket to AFCON 2019, and says his next target is to be part of the final squad to the competition next summer.

Onyekuru, who played against Bafana Bafana on Saturday as a substitute for Ahmed Musa in the 87th minute, congratulated the Eagles for their AFCON 2019 qualification and admitted he would love to be part of the expected excitement they will provide in Cameroon next summer.

The former KAS Eupen and RSC Anderlecht of Belgium winger-cum-attacker took to social media to reveal his excitement and added that the Eagles will again make Nigerians proud at AFCON 2019.

Onyekuru stated: “We are back! Huge congratulations to the team for the performance last night.

“We qualified for the AFCON 2019 and cannot wait to make the country proud again in Cameroon.”(Football Live)
