Nigeria Professional Football League club, Elkanemi Warriors have unveiled former Yobe Desert Stars gaffer Mohammed Baba Ganaru as the club’s new head coach.
The announcement was made at a press conference at midweek.
This will be the first time Baba Ganaru will manage the Desert Warriors. He has previously mentored Kano Pillars and Nasarawa United in his coaching career.
“There has been a lot of speculations around the announcement of the coach. We welcome Baba Ganaru to Elkanemi Warriors. A man whose integrity I respect,” said Desert Warriors chairman Mohammed Zanna Mala to Footballlive.ng.
“He comes with a great record and experience on the domestic scene,” he added.
On his part, Baba Ganaru promised to reach the target set for him by the management of the club.
“I’m happy to be here. This is a great club with lots of potentials.”
“My major focus is centred on reaching the target set for me by the club in the next NPFL season,” the former Pillars boss told Footballlive.ng.
