Aston Villa defeated Derby County 3-0 in Saturday’s English Championship encounter, with Tammy Abraham grabbing one of the late goals.
All it took to decimate Frank Lampard’s men at the Pride Park Stadium was ten second-half minutes.
Villa’s opener came through John McGinn in the 74th minute while Conor Hourihane wrapped up the victory in the 84th minute, after Abraham’s goal – his fifth goal since his summer loan move from Chelsea. Excited by the ‘unbelievable’ showing at Pride Park, the 21-year-old took to the social media to share his feeling.
“Unbelievable performance, unbelievable result, unbelievable fans. Unbelievable! Always nice to grab one goal. Travelling fans get back safe,” he tweeted.
The result has seen Dean Smith’s side move six places up the Championship rankings to the 11th spot. They place Birmingham City after the international break and the youngster will hope to stretch the scoring feat. (Goal)
