National Chairman of Nigeria Eagles Football Supporters (NEFSC), Prince Vincent Okumagba, has restated the commitment of the supporters under his watch to give the Super Eagles total support in Tunisia today as the former African championships take on the Mediterranean Knights of Libya in the second leg of 2019 AFCON qualifier.
In a telephone conversation from Tunis with Daily Sports, the number one Nigeria Eagles supporters club added that the Nigerians are battle ready to re-enact the form that saw them turn their host back in Uyo Nigeria during the first leg.
According to him, the boys are quite aware of what is at stake and would leave nothing for chance in the crucial double header encounter happening today.
The Nigerians are not ready for anything else than victory. The lads have made up their minds to ensure that they will not give any space to their host and so have resolved to go all out to beat the Knights. The match will be tight and the mood the Eagles are looks no nonsense and if that is translated into action there will be no hiding place for the homers. Though, it is like the Libyans are on away ground so the West African giants would not hesitate to cease such opportunity to make good use of it, Okumagba restated.
He further revealed that the match is crucial for the Eagles as it would steady them into full reckoning and so the game will count for Nigeria a lot. He also gave insight on what is expected from his side insisting that they will ensure total support for the Eagles that it won’t look as if the team is playing away. The kind of supportership he and his team would mount in Tunisia today would be unprecedented. The drums and other instruments are well oiled ready to go. Eagles would do the nation proud, he further revealed.
Okumagba who has been in the fore front of supporting the Eagles also thumbs up the sterling way and manner the leadership of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) led by hardworking and strategist Amaju Pinnick has been working round the clock to ensure that the boys are fully in concentration mood to be in the stead to beat Libya.
“We are doing everything here to put up five star supportership for the Eagles. As it is now both the players and the NFF are all working in same direction. Everyone that has role (s) to play to ensure that the Super Eagles consolidate their performance in Tunisia against Libya have been on top gear. The atmosphere is clam. The Nigerians here are also fully ready to rally round their darling side to teach Libya some football lessons via goals that would solidify their bid to pick ticket from the group for the finals in 2019, Okumagba who is full of hope for a superlative outing for the Eagles told Daily Sports.
It would be recalled that the Super Eagles beat Knights of Libya in the first leg played instead the mainbowl of Akwa Ibaom State International stadium Uyo Saturday, October 13.
