Libya Head Coach Begs Nigeria after Slanderous “JUJU” comment

By Daily Sports on September 10, 2018

Libya national team Coach, Adel Amrouche is on desperate damage control mission after he publicly berated Nigeria football labeling the country ‘juju loving’.

Amrouche guided The Tuareg to a goalless result against South Africa’s Bafana Bafana in a 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Durban on Saturday.

During the presser, the Algerian was asked what he thought of Nigeria ahead of next month’s doubled header, Afcon qualifier, and he did not hold back.

The Coach responded:

Believe I prefer play Nigeria than Bafana Bafana, because I have this experince to play against Nigeria and for me Bafana they have fantastic players.

It is not easy to play Bafana Bafana, for me Nigeria; I’m ready for Nigeria. At home, if they want we play two times in Nigeria we play two times in Nigeria.

I know You believe on juju; too much and we believe on God in the work. For the future we can plan, but it is not easy to play South Africa.

However, on Sunday, the Coach backtracked and apologized for his ‘bad joke’ about Nigeria football in a social media post.

He tweeted: I apologise to the Nigeria football community for using the words JUJU in the press conference in SA.I used the word in jest.I respect Nigerians and their RICH football tradition.I’m a man who likes joking, but I realise I used the word out of context. Please accept my apologies.
