The 25-year-old joined Leicester in the summer of 2017 from Hull City for £17m and was named the club's player of the season and the players' player of the season in his debut season at the King Power Stadium.
Speaking to LCFC TV , Maguire said: "Ever since I came to this club, I've always reiterated how good they've been to me.
"They gave me an opportunity to play in the Premier League and built a great platform for me to go and perform at the World Cup, so I thank them a lot.
"I owe them a lot and I'm looking forward to the future."
His new contract keeps him at Leicester until June 2023 and Maguire is pleased to have his future settled.
"It's massive, obviously the chairman has come and he wanted to reward me with a good contract and to add more years to the contract, so it is nice to have security behind me but now I am looking forward to the season ahead," Maguire said.
"It has been a good start that we have had and I am looking forward to getting more points on the board.
"The supporters, ever since I came to the club have been absolutely brilliant with me. I am looking forward to playing in front of them a lot more.
"We have got a good group of players here now and a great staff, with a great team behind us, and I am looking forward to the future." (Sky Sports)
