Djamel Belmadi has been announced as Algeria’s new coach for the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup™ Qatar qualifying campaign.
The 42-year-old former Algerian international midfielder previously managed Qatar during the 2015 AFC Asian Cup, and was most recently at the helm of Qatar side Al Duhail.
The four-time World Cup participants failed to qualify for Russia 2018 following a strong showing four years earlier in Brazil. (FIFA.com)
