Nigerians across the states of the federation particularly the Muslim faithful have been saluted by the Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, JP, as they celebrate Eid-el-Fitir to mark the end of Ramadan.
Ejidike in a statement said that “lessons of Ramadan which are sacrifice, love, giving and holiness should be upheld all day with which our great country, Nigeria would be a glorious land.”
The sports philanthropist sounded it loud and clear that “if all Nigerians could abstain from all sinful acts as exhibited during the fasting period, our society will be cleaned of all evil practices.”
He commended the Muslim faithful for observing the necessary spiritual obligations even as he congratulated them on the celebration of Sallah.
Ejidike urged all Nigerians “to use this period of Eid Mubarak to pray for our dear country, particularly the Super Eagles of Nigeria who are hoisting the nation’s flag at the FIFA World Cup, Russia 2018.”
“Ramadan,” he said, “is a period of spiritual supplication with Almighty Allah. And, for one month every Muslim is faithfully committed into God, it is therefore highly imperative to continue to uphold the lessons of Ramadan. I heartily appreciate and congratulate all Nigerians especially the Muslim faithful on the occasion of Sallah celebration.”
Ejidike urged Nigerians “to live in peace and pray for the good of our country and use this period of Sallah to express love to one another.”
