Horror show as Juventus thrash AC Milan to win Coppa Italia

By Daily Sports on May 10, 2018

Juventus crushed AC Milan 4-0 in the Coppa Italia final to move to the brink of a domestic double.

Massimiliano Allegri's side need just a point from their remaining two Serie A games to secure a seventh-straight Scudetto.

After a goalless first half, Juve took the lead after 56 minutes when Medhi Benatia headed home a cross from Miralem Pjanic.

And five minutes later they were gifted another goal by Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Douglas Costa struck an effort from the edge of the box that should have been a routine save for the young stopper but he somehow fumbled the ball into the net.

Things did not get any better for the youngster four minutes later when he failed to hold a header from Mario Mandzukic and Benatia had the simplest of tasks to poke into the net.

A miserable evening for Milan was complete 14 minutes from time when a corner from Miralem Pjanic was headed into his own net by Nikola Kalinic. (ESPN)
