Journalist lands in hospital after attempting Ronaldo’s bicycle kick

By Daily Sports on April 11, 2018

An Argentinian journalist found out the hard way just how athletic Cristiano Ronaldo really is by attempting to re-create the Real Madrid star's spectacular overhead kick scored against Juventus.

Manuel Sanchez, who works for Canal El Doce, had a go at pulling off his own version of Ronaldo’s acrobatic overhead kick on the lawn outside the office with just a thin cushion to break his fall.

Unfortunately, it didn’t quite go to plan. Sanchez mistimed his shot and landed heavily with his leg buckling awkwardly underneath him.

An ambulance soon arrived on the scene and carted the reporter away to Cordoba hospital where he was later photographed with his leg in plaster and a sheepish look on his face.

A painful ordeal no doubt, but hopefully it’s taught Sanchez to leave the spectacular to the professional acrobatic.
