Agent Raiola blasts Guardiola

By Nelson Dafe on March 26, 2018

Super players' agent Mino Raiola has launched a scathing attack on Manchester City's manager Pep Guardiola over his handling of Zlatan Ibrahimovic while the duo were at Barcelona. He says he will never forgive Guardiola for how he treated Ibrahimovic.

Raiola who manages star players like Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba says while he respects Guardiola as a coach who has been succesful,he has no time for him as a person.

"As a manager Guardiola is great, but as a person he is zero," Raiola said, adding: "he said he would talk to him if we had any complaints but then he stopped playing Zlatn and ignored him. He didn't even greet him."

"Guardiola is like a classic priest: Do what I say don"t do what I do. I advised Zlatan to go to work in a Ferrari and park it in his spot."

Raiola  revealed he almost came to blows with Guardiola when he left one of his clients Maxwell out of the 2011 champions league final against Manchester United.

"Guardiola is a cowardly dog. He pulled the same trick on Maxwell who is a greatr guy. I went to London for the champions league final and saw in the stadium that he wasn"t on the list. So that f...king Guardiola wanted to make (Eric) Abidal make his re-entry (after recovering from cancer.) That was fine of course and you can see why. But be honest about it," Raiola said.

"I was livid about it and almost went for him in the catacombs. But luckily Adriano Galliani, AC Milan president was able to stop me," Raiola added.ola and Ibrahimovic had a frosty relationship during the latter's one season stay in Barca in the 2009-2010 season before the striker was sent on a season-long loan to AC Milan the following season after which he signed a permanent deal with the Italian side.

Ibrahimovic later wrote a book in which he castigated Guardiola, comparing himself to a Ferrari that needed premium petrol in its tank, but which, according to him, Guardiola filled with diesel instead.

The bad blood between Guardiola and Raiola will make any future dealings on players between the pair unlikey.

Asked if he felt Guardiola could win the Champions League this year, Raiola answered "yes", but added quickly that he would not want him to, especially because none of his players work with Guardiola.

It would be recalled that Guardiola forced Raiola to apologise after the agent criticised the coach on his treatment of City player and theen client of his Yaya Toure during the early days of Guardiola's arrival as Man City manager.
