Oyo Assembly Moves to End 3SC’s Woeful Performance

By Anthony Obaseki on August 1, 2019

Vice Chairman, Oyo State House of Assembly Committee on Youth and Sports, Honourable Yusuf Adebisi, has affirmed that the Committee will be unbiased in its quest to end the problems confronting the legendary Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan.

Honourable Adebisi, who is also the Deputy Chief Whip of the Assembly, said this recently in his office while receiving some football stakeholders, among them a former Director General of National Sports Commission, Dr. Amos Adamu.

According to information from the office of the Deputy Chief Whip, the meeting centered on ways to end the lingering crisis of 3SC which resulted in the club’s failure to secure promotion to the elite league.

Daily Sports learnt that Honourable Adebisi, who was reportedly visibly angry during the meeting, assured that the Assembly would find out the factors that led to the woeful performance of the Oluyole Warriors in the recently concluded Nigeria National League (NNL) season.

The lawmaker, alongside Dr. Adamu, later had a meeting behind closed doors with the Deputy Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Rauf Olaniyan.
