Prince Davidson Owumi, General Manager and CEO of Rangers, has been elected as the chairman of the club's ex-players' association.
Owumi was elected into the chairmanship position on Tuesday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu where he defeated Arthur Egbunam and Stanley Okoronkwo to emerge winner in the poll.
The Rangers CEO won with 33 votes. Egbunam garnered 18 votes while Okoronkwo had no vote.
For the post of Secretary, Edmund Ndukanma won with 35 votes against Sunday Emele's 15 votes.
Christian Isiadinso became the vice chairman after defeating Ifeanyi Ezeji and Ignatius Okafor with 25 votes against 16 and nine votes respectively.
Michael Ogbodudu defeated Akim Ashiru with 37 votes against 10 votes in the post of financial secretary,.
Speaking after the election, the association's grand patron, Emeka Nwosu, said that the election was free, fair and transparent.
"As u can see a new chairman emerged in Davidson Owumi and I think everything went smoothly and there are no manipulation of any sort," Nwosu said. © supersport.com
