Former Nigeria Under-23 forward Kufre Ebong has joined Libya professional football league outfit Al-Ahly Bengazi from Nigeria Professional Football League side Akwa United.
Ebong was a part of the Nigerian Olympic team that took part and won the last Africa U23 Championship, but he wasn’t considered in the final list of players for the Rio 2016 Olympic, where Nigeria won a bronze medal.
21 year old Ebong move to Albanian side Kukesi early this year, but the deal was terminated after he was diagnosed with what was described as a serious injury by the club. He returned to Nigeria where he finished the season with Akwa United.
In June it was reported that he has joined North Cyprus outfit Yenicami, and would earn an annual salary of €40,000 , but the move didn’t see the light of the day.
