Injured Ashadi ruled out of CHAN Eagles

By Daily Sports on December 13, 2017

Katsina United star midfielder Destiny Ashadi has been dropped from the home-based Super Eagles training camp in Kano and he is now a major doubt for next month’s CHAN in Morocco on account of an ankle ligament injury, according to SCORENigeria.

The injury has kept him out of the team’s trainings since they resumed camping in Kano as part of their build-up for the CHAN.

The 22 year old attacking midfielder suffered the ligament injury while playing against Wikki Tourists in the Ahlan Pre-Season Tournament in Kano.

Katsina United won the match 2 – 0 and Ashadi assisted for the first goal with a lofty cross.

He was part of the team who were beaten in the championship game at this year’s WAFU Cup by hosts Ghana.
