Gambo Mohammed transfer hanging

By Daily Sports on November 16, 2017

The transfer of Kano Pillars skipper Gambo Mohammed to champions Plateau United is hanging in the balance after coach Kennedy Boboye insisted the striker is not in his immediate plans.

According to SCORENigeria, Plateau United have yet to enter negotiations with Pillars over the transfer of Gambo, who still has a year left on his contract with his hometown club.

“Boboye has said Gambo is not in his plans,” a top source informed.

“But it appears his bosses are the ones who are pushing for the player.”

The uncertainty surrounding the switch has been further heightened by the fact that Plateau United are yet to negotiate a transfer fee with Pillars for the experienced striker.

It was gathered that the only formal correspondence between both clubs was a request by Plateau United demanding to be given permission to talk to the player.

Earlier, sources at the Jos club told SCORENigeria Kano Pillars were demanding staggering 15 million Naira for Gambo, who at a time looked set to join Rivers United before the deal fell through.
