Nigeria goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, who is a free agent after his contract at FC Ifeanyiubah ran out, is now a January transfer target of an undisclosed Italian Serie A side, SCORENigeria has learnt.

“Ikechukwu Ezenwa’s contract at FC Ifeanyiubah has run out and he has not committed himself with any new deal either at FC Ifeanyiubah or elsewhere. For now, he is a free agent,” a close source to the shot stopper revealed.

Prodded on the speculated transfer overseas in January, our source said: “I’ve heard such but then, this is transfer period so all manner of speculations will be flying.

“But the, Ezenwa is a top goalkeeper so it won’t be a surprise for him to be inked to a move to Italy”.

His agents have already informed SCORENigeria of interests from South Africa and Israel.

Ezenwa is currently in Morocco with the Super Eagles as they prepare to face Argentina in a friendly and Algeria in a 2018.World Cup qualifier.
