Niger Tornadoes captain and goalkeeper Mustapha Aliko has promised that Tornadoes will come out Aiteo Cup final with a clean sheet.
The Ikon Allah Boys will challenge Akwa United in Sunday’s Aiteo Cup final at the Agege Township Stadium in Lagos.
The Minna landlords stopped Cup holders FC IfeanyiUbah in the semifinals while the Promise Keepers edged Sunshine Stars to pave the way for an epic final on Sunday.
Aliko promised a clean sheet and expressed his hopes that his side would be able to decide the match within 90 minutes.
“We are clearly the underdogs going into the Aiteo Cup final against the season’s widely acclaimed best team, Akwa United.
“The tag ‘underdogs’ makes us happy as history of the Federation Cup is replete with underdogs coming out strongly to win the coveted trophy.
“We are ready to give Akwa United the toughest challenge of their lives in Sunday final.
“We are here to make ourselves, our family and our supporters happy by going all out to win the Cup title.
“Of course, as the last man in defence I hope to maintain a 100 percent clean sheet.
