Uche Agbo to replace Mikel Obi against Algeria

By Daily Sports on October 14, 2017

Coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has hinted that Standard Liege of Belgium midfielder Uche Agbo will play in Algeria in the absence of captain John Obi Mikel.

Rohr has already confirmed that the China based duo of Odion Ighalo and captain of the team Mikel are most likely not going to be a part of the team for the dead rubber tie against Algeria in Algiers next month.

Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com the coach revealed there are places within his squad who have not been getting games despite their quality, and they will form the team for the game against Algeria.

” We have very good players who have done well but have not been given time to play. They have been with us for a while and they know how we want and love to play.

“We have options in almost every part of the team. Agbo (Uche) did very well in camp before the game against Zambia, we also have Mikel Agu and John Ogu. Their presence will help us rest some players against Algeria “, the coach said. (Owngoal.com)
