Former Nigeria youth international striker Taiwo Awoniyi found the back of the net for the second game running for his Belgian side Royal Excel Mouscron in their 3-1 win over Tubize in the Beker Van Belgie.
Signed on a season long loan deal from Liverpool, the 20 year old forward scored the only goal for Mouscron in their 1-2 loss to Zulte Waregem in a top flight league game, and he followed it up with another goal Wednesday evening.
Awoniyi set Mouscron on their way to a 3-1 win over second division Tubize when he opened scoring in the 27 minutes for his second goal in less than three days for the modest Belgium side.
A brace from Dorin Rotaru helped them see off Tubize, and also progress to the next round of the Cup tournament, a win which also helped them get back to winning ways.
Already he has equalled his last season tally of two goals in 18 games for Dutch side NEC Nijmegen after just five games in Belgium, where he is having his third consecutive loan spell with Mouscron.
