Newcastle, Spurs spy on Aaron Samuel

By News Express on September 15, 2017

Media reports have suggested that Premier League clubs Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur are chasing striker Aaron Samuel, who was recently recalled by the Super Eagles.

Already Manchester City beat Newcastle United to another Nigeria striker Olanrewaju Kayode.

Newcastle United scouts were at Benfica’s Stadium of Light this week to watch CSKA Moscow striker Aaron Samuel.

The 23-year-old, capped seven times by Nigeria, was also the focus of attention from Tottenham scouts, with representatives of both clubs said to have been there to watch him in their Champions League play-off against Young Boys too.

The centre-forward joined CSKA on a free in January and has so far netted just the one goal in 15 appearances across all competitions.

However, he is regarded as a bright prospect and has been followed closely by a number of top clubs in recent years.

Experts said that with pace, strength and a decent frame, he has all the right attributes to be a success in the Premier League.
