Senegal international defender Kara Mbodji has said Henry Onyekuru, who he says is his “little brother”, must make the most of his chance should he start for Belgian champions Anderlecht on Sunday against Saint Truiden.
Champions Anderlecht have not exactly set the league on fire three matches into the new season as they are 11th on the table with four points.
Onyekuru, on loan from Premier League side Everton, has started a game and came on as a substitute thus far.
Kara, who has been a close friend of the Nigeria forward for some years now, said he hopes Onyekuru takes his chance should he start at home against Saint-Truiden.
“If he starts on Sunday, he must prove to the coach what he can do,” said the highly-rated Senegal star.
“He has improved.” Kara also drives the Nigerian to training every day. “I read in the newspapers that I am his driver and when I told him he did everything to say he did not say that,” he joked.
“I was just teasing him, he’s my little brother.”
